TIGER NUTS - FLOUR PREMIUM ORGANIC(2.2 lbs)| Gluten-Free, High Fiber, Gluten, Non-Allergenic, AIP, Paleo Perfect

I've been searching for a fine ground tigernut flour and finally found it. I was impressed at the volume of flour sealed in brick form in the box. After reading other reviews, I went to Walmart and found a large/tall Ball brand glass container with a rubber seal and transferred it to that AFTER I sifted the flour thru my fine mesh sieve. Other brands left me with about a couple of tablespoons of gritty material that I had to discard, but not this one. I tried it out on my favorite waffle recipe and it didn't disappoint. Great flavor, crispy outside, and soft inside. Next recipe was apple cider donuts and they were wonderful! I have to be totally grain free and nut free so this flour is a staple in my kitchen. If you don't use it up quickly, because it is a natural product with no preservatives, I'd recommend that you keep it in the fridge in a well sealed container. And because it's natural, there will be variances in the grind. So I highly recommend sifting to make sure any gritty pieces are removed. It's just the nature of the product. It's not sand, but hard pieces of the nut that didn't get ground up completely. I just didn't find any in my first box. Worth the money and effort to sift.

Another brand I had to sift and pound the lumps out with a meat tenderizer. I was able to use this straight fro the box. Flavor is good.

I have made cookies and pancakes with this flour as an alternative to GMO and gluten-laden flours. They are tasty. They are also better for gut health than wheat flour.

The flour gave my baked goods a really good sweet taste.

This 2lb box came exactly as I expected. The box was complete intact. There was no damage and no spillage of goods.

i like the fat that these wild nuts finally being discovered because as a child in African we used to dig the grasses and miraculusly found black nuts at the root of the grasses and tasted them and they are delicious, and many years later i found out that these are really edibule nuts that have different colors and shape. i bought this flour to mix with my cassava flour to make African FUFU but it did not turn out well i could not eat it.i think i will just use it to bake only. please we want the powder form for making smoothe and tigernut milk.
