AO Smith X2 UV UltraViolet + UF (Ultra Fine) Black Water Purifier | Suitable for Municipal Water, TDS below 200 (Not Suitable for Borewell or tanker water)

I recently purchased the AO Smith X2 UV Water Purifier, and I am very satisfied with both the product and the service. The purifier itself is excellent, and the delivery and installation were right on time. It’s ideal for urban households that rely on municipal tap water. The build quality is impressive, and it feels sturdy and durable. Most importantly, the water tastes smooth and retains its natural flavor. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable UV purifier!

Product is good for municipal water supply. It's basic model with good build quality. Water output flow is okay, tastes good, looks clean. Delivery was on time. Installation was not done properly within cabinet, technician was asking to buy pressure reduction valve for 750 which I denied as my old aquagaurd was working without it, Service technician didn't give full demo, any AMC related information, told us to check with customer care. Customer care was also not aware of AMC information when called. Service needs improvement. Filter replacement AMC cost will be more than aquaguard as per initial information from customer service.

I recently purchased the AO Smith water purifier, and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and price. After extensive research, I found this to be the best option available, with most of the features i was looking for (not all)Key Features I Was Looking For:- UV + UF Filters: Essential for ensuring clean and safe drinking water.- Pre-Filter/Sediment Filter: This is an added feature that helps extend the life of the UV filter.- No CU Guard: This is optional, but i prefer no CU Guard.- Instant Purification (No Storage): As most storage options are plastic and i was looking for steel.- Compact Design: Perfect for saving space in my kitchen.- Low Cost: Offers great value for money.- UV Chamber Specifications: Should be horizontally placed and made only of steel, avoiding aluminum for better durability and safety.I specifically chose the UV+UF filter combination because the local water supply (municipal water) has low TDS levels. For those with higher TDS or borewell water, I recommend opting for NF purifiers instead and avoiding RO purifiers.Overall, the AO Smith water purifier meets all my criteria and provides excellent performance. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an efficient and cost-effective water purification solution.

Update after 2 years of USE 😡The AO SMITH service vendors seem to be using deceptive tactics now while selling AMS packages.Recently bought AMS from service engineer and he has not updated it in the system. It's been more than 2 weeks since I paid him 5650 rupees for 2 years AMS.Many people have faced similar issue in the society where I stay. Looks like the service engineers are exploiting some loophole in the system.AO Smith customer care team is just asking me to email. Their email team is shooting standard replies.Looks like I will have to take it up with Consumer Court to get this sorted out.Product is okay but experience with the installation part was not that great.- Installation was not arranged quickly.- The installation guy had taken a water inlet connector that came in the box. I noticed the missing thing while watching one YouTube unboxing video. He returned it after 7-8 days.- The installation guys SHOULD NOT take any items that the customer received in the packaging. I don't know if he took that accidentally or intentionally, but it should not have been taken.The installation guy might ask you to buy AMC right away. But that is not needed.I confirmed with the customer care and they mentioned that it can be purchased later as well.Pros:- Product is great. The filters and the uv chamber does a good job of purifying water.- Simple connections- Storage is okay for a micro family- looks quite good in the kitchen

Found this after searching a lot, i have municipality water so its very good for the same, water feels light and sweet in taste, installation also done very nicely, installation process very smooth and organised

Posting this after 4 years of Purchase. The product is generally trouble free. The Filter change is the only servicing done till date. The Filter indicator lights up when change is due.The best part is the Company Service. They have an elaborate system of OTPs for every service request and stage and unless we share the OTP with the service technician they cant move the service request to the next stage. Resultantly, the service request cant be closed prematurely. Have seen it work very well in practice and gives the customer the feeling of control. Excellent process delivering full satisfaction.

About two months after purchase and installation:The noise level is so low as to be almost inaudible, a welcome change.The water tastes very nice.The storage capacity is good enough for a family of five or six, and since it automatically refills each time the level falls even a little lower, there is no issue of having to wait.However, the touch dispenser works on electricity, not on gravity, so if power fails in your area frequently, this is a factor to consider. We ensure that we have at least two litres of water filled in separate bottles at all times, and are managing well with that practice so far, as power fails in our area for about half-an-hour only, at a time. For those in areas with longer power failure, they would have to arrange to keep more bottles filled at all times.It is not clear exactly how pure the company makes the water for drinking. If a test could be done and those results shared with the consumer, it would be good.
