I got this for my toddler so we could stop using a rectal thermometer. She was sick and it kept reading in the 98 range even though she felt warm.Tried 4 times using both versions, pressing firmly. She kept saying she felt bad so finally we used the rectal and it reported 2 degrees higher and showed a 101 fever. I could even give 1 degree variation a pass but not 2 plus degrees off. Now I can't trust this thermometer, it failed us when we needed it to work correctly.

I received this product for free in exhange for a review.This review is based solely on the performance of the product.The thermometer is very nice and easy to use. When you first receive it, it will be set to celcius but can easily be switched to farenheit by holding the power button for 3 seconds while the product is turned off. I tested the thermometer on both myself and my child. It gave off an accurate reading.It has several great features including:-ease of use-easy to read-has built in backlight which also indicates whether the temperature is in a normal range, high range or alarming range by different colored backlights-you can take the temperature by ear or forehead (great for infants since their ear canals are too little for the ear reading and it's easier than using a rectal thermometer)Overall it is a good thermometer and I would recommend it to anyone, especially someone with an infant for a less stressful temperature reading.

I normally don't bother writing reviews, but this one is well deserved. This thermometer is amazing! It is accurate, fast, and extremely easy to use. Comes with everything needed to use it right out of the box, including a nice pouch to store it in. My wife and I are expecting our first baby together, and I am sure this will get plenty of use while being able to take baby's temperature quickly without upsetting her. Thank you for making a fantastic product!

I received this thermometer just in time. The day I received it in the mail my 3 yr old spiked a fever. We were able to use this thermometer to keep an eye on his fever to make sure we didnt get worse. This thermometer works for both the forehead and in the ear. I would recommend this for someome who has kids and doesn't want to have to use an invasive thermometer to check their temperature.

I guess it's ok, it takes 6 or 7 tries to get the ear test to work. The instructions say to push the button wait 3 seconds then put it in your ear. That never works though. I push it and stick it in and sometimes it works. I usually get the single beep, the 6th time it will work. Forehead works good, but it's never the same result, it might only be a few numbers off, but it always different.

This is my third go at a digital forehead and ear thermometer. My toddler is prone to catching every virus from daycare, and all of the other ones always have exceedingly off measurements so I switched to a rectal thermometer to know for sure what his temperature was. Sure enough, we have caught another virus with a fever as the main symptom and I tried out the Digital Forehead and ear thermometer on his forehead, then followed up with our trusty back up. For once the measurements were within tenths of each other! I am so happy that i have a quick painless way to check his temperature without waking him up to check the old fashioned way. I definitely recommend this!

I had my last digital thermometer for nearly 10 years. Last week (two days before I gave birth) it spontaneously quit working. I had to replace it quickly with something that was suitable for use on a newborn and that would be easy to deal with so that in a sleep deprived state, I could still get an accurate reading. After looking over many of the reviews for this item I decided that the price point and the reviews made it a worthwhile risk. The company also indicates that they stand behind their product, and while I don't expect to have to return it, it's nice to know that they are "there" for their customers. I was most pleased that you don't have to buy little disposable lens covers for it since I don't care to spend unnecessary money or make unnecessary landfill waste. Also, and this is entirely unrelated to the product's performance, but I really like the little travel bag it comes in - it successfully holds the thermometer, the book, is an appealing color, and is soft to the touch.

I wish I bought this way sooner!!! We fussed with the regular style thermometers in the armpit for over a year. It took forever and was miserable for everyone involved. I first saw my sons pediatrician use this style but felt they were cost prohibitive. This was a great price and works super fast. It compares reading wise with the thermometers we had been using. Love it. Literally no complaints. What would take what seemed like forever with a fussy squirmy baby is so quick now. He doesn’t even know what’s going on. I love that it can be used in the ear but haven’t had to use that feature yet.

Initial setting up like changing between C and F was bit confusing at first but once you get hang of button and long and short press..pretty easy to use.
