Makeup Brush Set

Posting from my husbands account: BUY THIS BRUSH SET! I just received this set in the mail today and I am pleasantly surprised. At $1.10 a brush, my expectations were guarded. First, the brushes are made of incredibly soft synthetic fibers. Love the feel right off the bat. I examined each brush and tugged on the bristles to check for shedding. There was ZERO. The handle is a nice matte black with a gun metal (ish) ferel. The brushes are also all numbered which is great. I’ve used the set once to apply a full face of makeup. They blended powder products beautifully (I don’t use creams and use a BB for foundation). Just for the sake of it, I washed the eye shadow brushes I used with my Real Techniques brush cleanser. They were like new when I was done and there was still NO SHEDDING. If you’re like me (someone that loves makeup but doesn’t plan on doing it professionally) BUY THIS SET. It has everything you need for face, eyes, and even lips at a ridiculously fair price. Even the brush roll they come in is great quality considering the price, and it keeps everything organized and protected. (Pictured below is the set after I had used the brushes. You can still see bronzer and blush on two of the brushes I chose not to wash)

As with anything from amazon, there’s a distinctly weird odor. They don’t pick up pigment to save their lives, either. I’ve washed with bare minerals conditioning brush wash, still, they are terrible. I wouldn’t ever recommend them.

The brushes are phenomenal. I love that there is a huge selection. I've kept my old brushes for years and just kept adding on, but I decided to splurge on this set and I just tossed everything I had. Best decision. The brushes are soft, synthetic, but regardless it does what I want. I love the handles. The black matte is so chic and the color of the metal bothered me at first, it's like not a dark silver, which is what I thought it looked like in the photo, it's more like a brown? No idea. But that doesn't matter to me anymore since all my brushes match. It's the best feeling every morning getting ready and using them. I adore this set and if I had any reason to, I would def buy again

I enjoy the variety of eye shading brushes. Good value for price, but there are downsides:The small fan brush is packed in the corner of the brush roll so the bristles arrive permanently creased. Really disappointed in that one.The big powder brush is too big for any detail, the smaller powder brushes are too small and precise for blush, contour, highlight.Several brushes had uneven ends -- sparse, random bristles sticking out.

I loved these brushed ! I used them today the blender works so great !!! It's a lot of them for a great value ! I loved how they were wrapped separately ! The foundation blender was a plus ! These will be my everyday brushes now !

These brushes were so nice! They have all the ones I wanted and more! The quality is great, and they are very soft. No shedding, either.I saw some people complain about the smell....The “manufactured smell” goes away really quickly, but with a dad who works in manufacturing, you learn that smell is nothing to worry about. It’s an after affect of any product made out of plastics.The organizer they came in was a nice touch. I ended up not using it for very long, since I bought another container for them that would also hold makeup, but it definitely could be used long term, if you wanted. It definitely came in handy while I was waiting to find the other container. Overall, I’m very happy!

I needed new makeup brushes -even though I thoroughly cleaned mine every week, they were old and kind of grody. I tried just replacing the ones I used the most, but then found a code to 80% off these ones, and they feel like my old ones brand new, not the cheap ones I was slowly replacing with. The cheap ones I now use for special effects in my painting (that’s all they are good for) and my new ones are carefully cleaned and stored away at the end of every day. They are that awesome!

I’ve only had these brushes 6 weeks and the wood is already cracking. I was excited about the kit and the hair quality of the brush, however I have to say now, that these are not worth it. I’m a makeup artist with a consistent wedding business. Maybe ok for personal use but not durable enough to even withstand one bridal season.
