My brown sugar was hard as a rock. I followed the directions and had to repeat once to get the brown sugar softened but now it is staying soft and useable.

Have used these for years & am always amazed at how effective these little pieces of clay are at softening even the hardest chunk of brown sugar. Excellent product!

Maybe I'm not using this right. Got it to keep cookies moist, but there is no change. Could also be the climate.Update: Still no luck with keeping cookies moist. But this is AMAZING for rehydrating brown sugar!!! I popped this little leaf in a container of dry, solid brown suger. 12 hours later and my sugar is as if I just opened a new bag. I will NEVER toss out dried brown sugar again.

Where has this been all my life?! I’ve had this for months now and will recommend it to anyone! It’s easy to use..just soak it in water for 20min and pop into your brown sugar. It keeps it fresh and soft. When the leaf dries out just do the same thing over again. No more rock hard brown sugar..yay!

I live in Phoenix Arizona and have HORRIBLE problems with my brown sugar turning into a solid block. So I got the leaf and tested it out on a small bag of old brown sugar that was all dried up and nasty and it worked just like magic! Turned it back into nice soft, yummy brown sugar so I tossed the leaf and the rejuvenated brown sugar in my big container of brown sugar and haven't had a problem since!

It's OK I guess. I was surprised though to discover that a piece of bread worked even better in keeping brown sugar soft.

I had rock hard Brown sugar that I kept saying I was going to break up and crumble so I could use again. I bought this instead. Soaked it in water for 30 minutes. Put in a freezer bag with the hard Brown sugar. Within a few days it was as moist as new! It was like a miracle.

Mine came cracked which was clearly a packing issue on Amazon’s part however, I decide to use it anyways. It works really well for keeping my brown sugar moist. Plus it’s cute. Thinking of getting more for Christmas stocking gifts in future.
