Love the longevity of this product on cedar

I've been using Cetol since the late 1980s, and there is no substitute.For siding, fences and other vertical surfaces, we usually get 3-5 years (easily) before a re-coat is needed. Decks typically give us 2 years of service in the PNW...and that's impressive.I have been referring Sikkens products for 40 years, and will continue to do so..

Applies well, thickens as it dries. I liked the end result but if there is one thing that could've been better it would have to be the opening. I have seen some large cans that have a plastic extension piece to make it easier, cleaner to pour. The product itself is great, easy to apply with brush. Do not use a sprayer to apply this product. It is very thin to begin with and will leave run marks if too heavy an application is applied.

I liked that the product went on smoothly and filled the cracks of the logs and left a nice shine

This 5 gal. bucket apparently had been dropped somewhere as some of the finish was on the cardboard holder around the bucket. I just used the finish and had to put it in other containers. With a price as expensive as this was, I would expect it be delivered in a better condition. The one end of the top rim of the can was definitely bent down from the pressure of some type of accident. I'm only hopeful that what I put in other plastic containers is still good next spring when I expect to use it.

We've used this product on our house before and it still works like we expect it to. Nice color and protection for our log home.
