NO.17 Replacement Sponge Media Filter, 4 Pack of Bio Foams for 1200L/H 1500L/H Internal Filter

I brought this filter as a quick buy, as my normal one suddenly stopped working! I must admit , I was sceptical when I saw the size as I was expecting something bigger like my other one. However needs must! So I used it in my 200 litre aquarium, and so far have been very impressed how it performs. I have only had it a few days so can't say about its longevity! But for now it certainly does the job until I get a new one of my usual brand! There is also a choice of nozzles that come with it. I change these at different times to change currant . One does a steady flow and If used correctly it is very quiet. The other is the bubble nozzle, Which produces the usual bubble making sound but nothing louder the normal. They even provide extra tubing, so you can attach it to the bubble nozzle so a have greater choice for positioning the filter and therefore the flow of bubbles, I would recommend this filter. It's cheap enough to buy and keep as a backup in case of emergency breakdowns like I had!!

The media could not be loaded.  I bought it about 2 weeks ago and so far so good. Not too loud, strong for such a small filter. Can control power of the bubbles very easily. Didn't try different attachments yet as my fishes loves it, specially guppies. I have 75l fish tank and it does great job. Easy to install and clean.

Hi, so far it works soo good. Only one thing what I would like to mention. The power cable is a bit short. It could be and extra 30-40 cm longer.So far so good.

Powerful for small size. Can adjust the power too. Adds a nice flow to the water and keeps the water cleaner for longer than what I had been using. Definitely recommended.

I took this filter for my fish tank but it doesn’t work good I’ve tested for a month only during the day because during the night you can’t sleep because of the noise. The pump looks good and nice design but is not ok regarding the noise and the power of blowing ( blowing the air is too powerful )and if you try to cut the air the pump will start to heat even if you slow the air from the adjustable flow control.

Honestly, this will be binned. It's too powerful a motor, and everything vibrates horrendously - the tank, the heaters, everything. The tank walls vibrate as soon as this is switched on, the entirety of the 200L has turbulence, and worst of all, the intake of water for the filter to work is poor - it barely draws water in near the bottom meaning the filter is passive at best, mostly from the top towards the casing where the filter attaches. You'd be as effective throwing a spong in.It looks like it works on the face of it. Because the water shakes and you can feel the water being pumped. But the speed is not adjustable, only the filter side of the water intake is and even then, the thing is so poorly made that a lot of water always gets in. You can dial from 100% to 80% pressure, but that motor will always be churning at 100% giving your aquatic life a constant shudder. This is a great product for people who don't mind stressing animals to death. But if you want to provide a habitat for living in, I'd recommend not wasting your time and money here.

I had an issue with the sound of the impeller but that was because I hadn’t clicked the base in properly. Once done it’s so quiet I have to check it’s still working.Very easy to clean and maintain.Worth every penny.
