be aware of waistband connection
i wear a 34 waist and are generally considered large to x-large now. i bought these in xx large due to the fleece. even with the purchase of the extra x in size they now fit comfortably. one warning. i bought my first pair and was pleased that they had a button/hole closure on the waist. when i ordered two more pair in different colors they came with two different waist closures. one came with the same button/hole closure (preferred) and the green pair came with a metal hook/catch on the other. this hook is similar to that found on winter boots which catch the shoelace. based on previous experience, over time, this hook breaks and you are left with no way to catch the lace on the boots. with the pants, once you lose this small crappy hook, you either get a clothing repair shop to replace this hook and or add a button style closure or you throw them away since a belt will help to close the pants but if you are wearing them tight you might find your zipper dropping due to the stress on the fabric and the first warning might be that you are getting cold in places you dont want to get cold as the zipper drops on your ski run down the hill. i am personally going to contact the seller and ask which pants have the button style closure to order another color and at the same time they will tell me which pairs to avoid in color. as for construction it seems very good for either waist closure style but i personally wont take a chance on the metal hook closure. at least you know and wont be surprised by either style if you order them.

We did one size up to fit over jeans. Fits well and looks nice!
Nice looking pants and will hopefully keep him dry, but have yet to test that out. He did try wearing shorts under these pants and still felt the cold wind coming through, so would recommend wearing jeans or thermals underneath!

Great value
I'm sure there are fancier pants available, but these are great for the price. They are comfortable, water resistent, windproof, and warm. Worked great at skiing. Did not feel cold or wet.

ONLY FOR COLD!! And go smaller not larger!
Wow these are impressive! I would not recommend using them on a day that is not cold or to wear them indoors. These pants lock in heat more than official snow gear from any company I have tried so far, and don't breathe at all. On a day that was about 0°c I was sweating while walking the dog. I am not complaining because it's going to get really cold where I am and these things are going to save me big time 🙂I do not recommend wearing them in comfortable weather or you will be sweating profusely! COLD WINTER GEAR!!

(Think version) Thermal Insulated for Ice Fishing 🎣
These pants are an excellent way of staying warm while saving money. You can easily replace any average pair of $180+ snow pants with these.I wore the (Think) Pants ice fishing, (36) size according to my waist, fit perfectly. Stayed warm while setting up an ice hut in -11°c temperature and 37k/h winds. I can tell you these pants are 100% wind resistant and water proof. Even after sitting in an ice hut for hours at 0°c and being splashed with water, my legs did not get cold or wet.All the warmth, wind proof and water proofing come at the cost of breathability. You will heat up and sweat in these pants if you're doing a lot of activity. The material is thick and strong and would be comfortable camping in cool climates.I would recommend these to anyone who needs to stay warm when going to a winter cottage, snowmobiling, intermediate skiing, ice fishing, skating, etc.

Flexible water "resistant" with light fleece inside - not breathable as advetised.
First impressions:Like many reviewers noted, this fabric does not breath. But it's OK for me. I didn't expect Gortex quality at that price range. Be careful what you order if you want the thin insulation insulation inside. Depending on the color choices, description says thick or thin. Get the thick if you want the skinny fleece insulation.I wear them over a layer base to ride bicycle toward the end of the season during rainy days nearing the freezing point. Keeping the top pockets open serves as a vent and the layer base absorbs the inside moist caused by the lack of breathability. For me they work as intended. Legs didn't freeze :-)Durability remains to be seen. I'll report back later after significant use and/or failures (fabric, seems, zipper, etc...) whatever comes first.

4th purchased pair - love them
This is my 4th pair- ‘nuff said. Great pants; these ones seem thicker than the other “thick” version, not complaining- just noting.
