John Aird Crushed Velvet Fully Lined Eyelet Curtains (Ochre, 66" Wide x 90" Drop)

These arrived today....beautiful emerald green velvet. Very lightweight material, does let some light in but overall they look very luxurious. A few bits of cotton along the top where the seam is but there is nothing amiss in snipping this off - you cannot see it once the curtains are pulled back. Easily disguised. Shame it was not checked before they left the factory. Not a major fault at all. I definitely love the colour and feel and as far as I am concerned there is no need to iron before you put them up unless you are particularly fussy. The warm sunshine will soon get rid of creases. Absolutely brilliant price, will definitely return to buy more in different colours for both my bedroom and my living room. I would imagine that the black colour would be stunning as well. 5**** plus.

Unbelievably good value though not sold as black out curtains they do cut down most of the sunlight. Great material. Delivered on time . Well done Amazon !

I bought a pair of these curtains a few years back, and wanted another pair to match. Luckily, they do match in colour after such a time, which is great. The fabric seems much thinner now, it doesn't block out the light, which doesn't matter for me, but could be important for someone else to know. That's the only reason I knocked off a star as the product info says "These curtains use a very high quality crushed velvet fabric so are very thick and therefore will block out lots of light." The curtains are not 'very thick', but as they're my winter living room curtains they take up less space when stored. As I chose raspberry red, the room has a nice rosy glow when I come in in the morning! You'd need to pay a lot more to get thick velvet curtains.

Nice green but cheap quality material. Very thin. These are not blackout all light shines through and they are not thermal. The backing lining is not thermal fabric and also unbelievably thin. Ok price but not correcting advertised.
