Boker 02LG115 Persian Fixed Knife with 440 Stainless Steel Blade, 4-3/4", Magnum

I became a 'knife enthusiast' later in life, but that's ok, because now I can properly appreciate them. I buy a lot of knives, every knife has a purpose, some I buy more for their aesthetics than utility. In the case of this Boker 01LG115 I think I got both, a decent all around camp knife that looks and feels great!The sheath is real kydex and it's properly fit, very impressive; I plan to attach the (less well made) belt attachment in scout carry, because it fits very snugly. The blade says 440A right on it, so it's an 'ok' steel that isn't super hard and will need sharpening often. Being 440A, it's heavy, which is ok for general purpose like camping or light woodcrafting, maybe even an ok hunting/preparedness knife. The size is great, about perfect for most chores at home and in the woods. Notice the $100 bill I put in the photo to illustrate size, that and it's general shape are it's best features. I feel like this knife should cost about $10 less, I paid $40, which I think is a good/fair deal, but for $30 this knife would be a 'must buy'. I love the grip on this knife. The handle just molds to your hand. It's also a tough blade. Good thickness and length. I would definitely recommend this knife.

Like others said, the handle is uncomfortable. The sheath was damaged enough that I literally had to slam it point down to get it back into the sheath after using quite a bit of force to remove it. I heated the sheath to hope I could reform it to no avail. Very dangerous. Also the blade is larger than what is listed. I own 4 bokers...this one has put skepticism in me about future purchases after my wonderful experiences with prior blades. The price point is tempting, but I would advise second thoughts before purchasing.2 cents.

Bought this for a battle belt "fighting Knife". The blade size is just right. Came suitably sharp, though not hair popping sharp. The "Persian" handle is good for cutting and slicing, not so great for chopping or bushcrafting. I have average hand size and the handle was just a touch thin for the latter. Other wise the knife feels good in the hand. The kydex sheath is nice and has excellent retention. Mounting is via two holes in vertical, horizontal or angled on a belt clip. I found an angled scout style mount the most stable for my purpose. The belt clip is a little on the flimsy side and I would prefer a four hole mounting sheath, but that would change the sheath completely. Over all a great knife at a great price. Would have given it five stars if it wasnt for my personal preferences.

Rock solid with great ergonomics! Perfect size handle and blade shape. Love it!

Attractive handle. Blade was slightly darker than pictured, which is fine by me. Friction only sheath holds the knife tightly. Detachable belt clip is versatile and allows for left/right or vertical/horizontal carry options. Required some sharpening out of the box which only took a minute to remedy.

I'm that person who will find a knife I like but won't purchase it because I don't like the sheath. I'm happy with the knife and the sheath. I was able to touch up the blade and after a little stropping this thing was very sharp. I think this product was worth it.
