Watched a video on YouTube on how the product is made from the time they received the sardines to putting on the outer package. Looked like everything is done by hand except putting the top of the can to seal it. The sardines are larger than others I have eaten and the different flavors are wonderful. Will be order more of these in the future.

Top Notch. No comparison. They don't have the real fishy smell when open like all the others imo. and the flavor is the best period. I don't like paying the price but it really is worth it. Im hooked!

I never really thought much about the quality of tinned Sardines in general. After watching a segment on the SaturdayMorning CBS news last weekend, my interest was piqued. This Portuguese family generational company PINHAIS has such an interesting tradition. The brand of these Portuguese Sardines is called NURI. I bought the varied 4 pack whichincludes Sardines in Olive Oil, Sardines in Spiced Olive Oil, Sardines in Tomato Sauce, and Sardines in Spiced TomatoSauce. Each can is hand wrapped in artful paper and packed by Women. I decided to first eat the Spiced Sardines inOlive Oil. Absolutely delicious with fresh baguette slices. Had a kick but not overwhelming. Next up will be one of theTomato Sauced. I will never again buy the store bought brands. If you are a fan of Blue Fish, I believe you will be trulysatisfied. This imported brand is a keeper! Just meaty enough, and nicely flavored. Only lost a star because I had a negative reaction to one of the tins, which indicates possible cross-contamination somewhere (I have a minor whitefish allergy usually not triggered by oily little guys like sardines, anchovies, etc).

By far the best canned sardines I've ever had in my life. More than worth the price. You can tell that even the olive oil they're packed in is high quality.

I had to give these 5 stars on all categories. I did smell a brief whiff of fishy-ness when I first opened the can, but that very quickly dissipated and was gone. They may be expensive but the limited availability and quality are directly correlated.On the positive sides, I simply don’t recall ever having eaten a canned fish that tastes anywhere near this good. I got the variety pack and started with the spiced in tomato sauce, and the flavors of the added ingredients were amazing good and well balanced for a canned product. I was damn near tempted to lick the place. Maybe next time I’ll open a can on top of some rice, etc. The flesh was firm and any remaining rib bones were barely noticeable and finer than a strand of hair. I didn’t see any bones that needed to be removed, except for the spinal cord.After watching a YT video about the company’s quality production and the pre-cook stage before the cooking in the can, I was very interested. After having tried it, I’m a fan. If you’re someone like me that needs to watch their calories, but yearns for a shot of protein midday, these are a treat. Or if you just love fish, these are great. I’ll be looking for some simple recipes where I can incorporate these into a full meal.

The best sardines in the world

Delicious!!! I had it on a toasted sourdough and it’s amazing! Definitely recommend especially if other cans weren’t the best this one is definitely worth the try! I would honestly say coming from someone who tried sardines in the past that wasn’t a huge fan of other brands but this one is delicious!!
