I bought a variety of sizes for my son and haven't had any problems with them. A slight odor upon arrival which quickly dissipates. My son loves the protected ends of the barbells, they don't scratch up surfaces and the grip is fantastic. He uses these in his room along with a workout bench and the stand that can also be ordered. We also didn't have any problem getting the quantity shipped we needed. Pay attention to the description ! All in all, we are very pleased with our set and they are definitely designed to last for a very long time. Forever !

Got a 25 lb pair for $48.53 ($.97/lb), now these are at $103 ($2.06/lb) less than a week later. Was worried what would show up after seeing some bad reviews across all brands. They showed up on time & in perfect shape. As far as the mold release smell peeps complained about, I washed them with dishwashing soap, dried them right away & then used some 91% alcohol on the grip bars to remove any residual oily chemicals. 5 minutes & no smell or residue. These all look like they're made in the same shops so the price variance on amazon between the different "brands" discourages me from being brand loyal. Shop around & price compare but don't wait if you find some around $1/lb. I did look for used ones locally but people are still asking new prices for used dumbbells, anywhere form $1.30-$2/lb similar to Amazon.

Overall, the pair of 25lb dumbbells is a good deal. The quality is decent enough with some blemishes and the price is right. These are actually 26lb each, not the advertised 25lb. No big deal I guess.

Great quality dumbells! Perfect right out of the box. Not sure what issues people are having with oily residue or smell... they had none!I found they are within 3oz in weight. Some pairs were exact on the money.Great price, great product!(I apologize for the cords in the background. Remodeling.)

The weight of each of these dumbbells was off by 5 lbs! I bought a set of 25 lb. weights. One was 25.8 while the other weighed in at only 21 lbs. It took us awhile to figure this out so we couldn't return them. Please weigh your dumbbells when you get them for accuracy.

These do not feel as heavy as the 35lb dumbells, but DEFINITELY are heavier than the 10 pounders. No doubt in my mind. I lifted them up in the air multiple times until I felt tired. I think they work really well.
