Good size for putting details in your paints. Comfortable to hold.I have just taken up watercolor painting. I am not a natural at it, but I wanted to try something new. I was looking for supplies that are good quality, but moderately priced. This fits the bill well. It is well made, but not too expensive. Holds water well and maintains it shape well.

This brush was perfect for my watercolor painting. Excel weight in my hand, bristles perfect and they held the paint and water well. Cleaned easily with water. I love Princeton brushes. Highly recommend.

This brush holds its point and can make surprising thin lines for its size. Holds paint and water well. It's an absolute bargain and I now own 3!

I know that tastes in paint brushes are very personal, but if you're looking for a good, affordable watercolor brush with snap and a nice point, I'd highly recommend any of the rounds and long-rounds from the Princeton Velvet Touch series. If you're looking for a soft, soppy watercolor brush that holds a ton of water to paint dreamy impressionistic watercolor backgrounds/abstracts, this isn't the brush for you; but for detailed and precise watercolor work, I think you'll really like this brush. Also, it's called Velvet Touch -- I assume -- because of the soft, velvety, wooden handle. It might not be to everyone's liking but i LOVE the feel of it and, I swear, it helps my painting because it's so comfortable to hold.

Smooth feeling brush makes me want more of these.

I consider myself a hobbyist only, though I use watercolor and acrylic art in my craft (bookbinding). This little brush is not only useful for applying paint in tight spots, it has saved me more than once in glue applications. Highly recommend!

Perfect watercolor brush. I use almost exclusively now. Holds water, point stays sharp for fine lines. Very happy with this brush!

I’ve been trying out all of Princeton’s brushes, trying to find the right feel. I wanted one that holds a lot of water, so I tried the Neptune, which was supposed to be the best for holding a lot of water. It was just a bit too soft for me and didn’t snap back to shape. I tried the Princeton Aqua Elite, which is the most expensive and again, too soft. So, then I tried the Princeton ‘Snap’ line. That one was too stiff and I couldn’t get a nice clean tip, plus it didn’t hold much water. I finally order this Velvet Touch brush. Perfect! It holds a great amount of water, is soft when you are making brush strokes, then returns to its original shape. It also comes to a nice gradual point, instead of abruptly. The handle feels good (hence, the name) and it has nice balance. The other thing I love about this brush is that others left a tiny puddle of paint at the end of the brush stroke, but this doesn’t. I don’t find myself needing to go back and pick up the excess water. You can see in the photo how nicely paint flows from this brush. I love it and will be purchasing other sizes once they become available on Amazon. I got the size 8 and find that it does just about everything except very fine detail. I know brushes are so subjective to the artist, but I’m just so happy to have found the one I love! Sorry Amazon, for the multiples returns.

Excellents pinceaux que les Princeton. J'avais déjà le 10 j'en ai donc pris deux autres plus fins pour les détails. Ils prennent très bien l'eau et s'affaisse pas du tout. Belle pointe également. Très bien pour débutants, pas besoin de mettre trop chers. Je les trouvent même mieux que les Raphaël.
