SR Suntour SP12 NCX Suspension Seat Post with Protective Cover 31.6X350mm,Black, VK1919

I ride trail almost everyday, not air jumps or black diamonds, just narrow, twisty dirt track. With my full suspension in the shop, I pulled out my 29er hardtail. Ouch. This stem suspension plus a $25 gel seat almost makes up for the lack of rear suspension. Good quality, easy install, comes with a suspension cover. I am 185lbs and this is rated for 180lbs. It rides fine. My solution to being in spec, rather than buy the heavier spring, is to lose 5 lbs.

Installed it on my xc, my son’s xc and my wife’s rod bikes. Once you use this seat post you will wonder how did you survive all these years without it. Despite of its weight it is totally worth it on my hard tail xc bike. I don’t have to drop the post as much on descents and I find I ride the gnarly flats on the saddle because it absorbs so much of roots and rocks. I did a century ride with it, lots of trails, and longdays on gravel trails bike packing. Highly recommended!

This thing saved my *ss! (Pun intended)I do hours of riding and there was no option to buy the RCS with a rear suspension. Honestly i don’t think I care for one after having this seat suspension. A LOT less maintenance and less money than full suspension bikes. Im not doing jumps or anything but it works very well on streets and on dirt tracks. The cover also is nice to prevent dirt and grime collecting

I’m 200 lbs. It wasn’t difficult to adjust the resistance to get a great balance, not soggy and and taking away power but still loose enough to engage and add the comfort I was looking for. Product works great, the only 2 cons would be 1, the WEIGHT of the product overall. It’s heavy. second, the neoprene cover is starting to show some wear after 2 seasons.

Tried the Thudbuster - “new design” flawed as it puts too much stress on only one screw. Seat can violently shift forward - very dangerous! On the other hand, this one is PERFECT - solid and tried & true spring design. No initial adjustment needed for 225 pounds, but it’s in the middle initially. Haven’t bottomed-out (or “top-out”) once. Really SMOOTH ride (especially combined with a Daway C60 - check it out!).

Made all the difference in the world! Original seat on REI CTY 2.1 E-bike fit me well, but was uncomfortable after about 10 miles. Bike has suspension forks, but I avoided cracks, bumps and tree roots because the back wheel seemed to hit hard and hurt my rear end. Tried original seat on this post prior to using a new seat I had bought. Ended up returning the unused new seat because my old seat is now perfect with the help of this suspension seat post. I weigh 230 and did not adjust this at all. Seems to be perfect for me as is. Far exceeds my expectations!!! This will undoubtedly also save years of wear on my lower back as well!!!

Great idea. Makes seat more comfortable. I have to return it because the cover is missing. I called and unfortunately they can’t just send cover. I have to wait for another unit.

J'ai fait beaucoup de bicyclette durant très longtemps. Bon c'était mon seul moyen de transport pendant très longtemps.Pourtant je n'avais jamais eu mal.Pendant un bon bout de temps j'ai arrêté. Vu que j'avais un véhicule. Ensuite une voiture sport et un SUV.J'ai recommencé l'année passée je crois.Mais j'avais mal. Je ne comprenait pas du tout pourquoi.Je suis allé voir le chiropraticien. J'avais l'os du coccyx à la mauvaise place. Même le bassin était plus comme celui des femmes en question d'inclinaison.J'ai tout essayé. J'ai acheté une bicyclette de la compagnie iGO. Je m'avait dit. Au prix que ça coûte. Il n'y aura pas de problème. Et bien oui.Ma femme a essayé le produit. Elle a adorée.Amazon a vraiment aidé avec le processus. Parce qu'on était en vacances la semaine dernière. On a jamais réussi à trouver la pièce.Je ne pouvais pas comprendre pourquoi c'était aussi compliqué que ça pour rien du tout.Merci infiniment Amazon.Maintenant ma femme passe dans un trou et c'est le produit qui absorbe le choc. Pas elle.Ça va nous permettre de faire plus de vélo pour plus longtemps. La mienne devrait arriver aujourd'hui.

Works as expected at a reasonable price. You don't need a full suspension bike for commuting if you have one these. Your back will thank you.

カバーが入ってなくて残念！一旦返品しないといけないらしい。カバーだけ送ってくれればいいのに。Amazonのそういうとこ不便。気の利くお店であれ。さて！商品レビューをさせていただくとですね。きっといいはず！ポジションを掴むのにちょっとシビアになってしまうところと慣れも必要なのかな？って思います。見かけがイマイチかな？って思ってたのですが、なんか徐々にいい感じに思えてくる魔法があります。急にメカニカルになったことにも慣れが必要だったりするんでしょう。きっと。特有のふわふわ感に慣れるまではちょい硬めに設定してもいいかな？って思いました。思っているよりも長い時間をかけて調整していく方が吉と出ると思います。ちなみにサドルは SELLE SMP TRK TRKGEL-BK かなり守りに入っています。笑シートポストの裏にレンチでサスの硬さが調整できるので、現在は割と硬めに設定してあります。

It's just a strong spring that must fully release on every rebound, and you will surely feel it.4 Stars because it is a well built quality product, but in Canada at $160 is overpriced for what it is.
