This Rome Industries 66-D Basket Broiler Deluxe comes with its own folding grill stand. Instead of holding the grill basket over the fire, simply open up the sturdy wire grill stand, put over the coals and then place the grill basket on top. Stand places the basket 8.25" off the ground which is a good height for cooking over campfire coal.

Heavy duty grill. Lasts for a long time.
Excellent quality for what I use it for. The gauge seems to be thicker than a previous one (of a different brand) that lasted a couple seasons before warping. I cook over a very high heat open flame pit fire. Temperature control is not much of an option you just have to learn from experience. I love grilling so I can throw that char on real quick with no oils or butter necessary. So far the past few cooks have been great. Food doesn't stick too bad at all and the cage shows no signs of warping...yet. I like it because I have a large backpack and it fits inside of it [65L backpack from amazon basics.. love this bag!] I can fit a pretty decent amount of food for 2 to 3 people on like half of it but then it obviously gets to a point where it'd be too heavy. Especially if you just hold it. My fires are too hot to hold it the whole time. We put a rock to hold the handle down and lean it up against the pit so it cooks at a nice angle and you just have to flip it. Way better than having to hold it the whole time. That's wasting too much energy cooking. *Update* So after a few months of pretty hard use (we go camping every weekend) it still holds up and I foresee using it for the rest of the year although I'll probably grab another one soon because I don't take very good care of it. Leaving it out in the rain has inhibited minimal rust in spots. I only left it out because I was too lazy to carry it back especially when it's all dirty because I don't prepare for that so I leave it at the camp spot in a bag but the bag got ripped. So far I've cooked burgers, chicken wings, chicken breasts, all different steaks, lamb, potatoes, bacon, marshmallows (not on the grill), and even toast and they all taste better by far over an open wood fire. Just season/sauce and heat.I did snip the handle to make it shorter with some bolt cutters so it will fit into my bag a little better. Just gorilla taped the handle back to what was left of the handle. You lose a bit of stability if you do that but not too much.

Best campfire grill basket
Very well made used over hot coals and it was perfect for brawts and burgers .the brawts cooked in a aluminum pan ontop of the base stand and I used the basket for the burgers with zero issues.Essential camping gear. I give this purchase five stars!

A Must for Fire Pit Cooking!
This cooking basket is excellent and well made. The stand legs are a godsend because after a short time, the basket gets heavy. Cooking pork chops over the fire tonight. I would purchase this item again or highly recommend this to someone else.

Best Campfire Cooker
While camping I often have used such baskets of lower quality while cooking over a camp fire. What makes this one particular outstanding is it has removable legs that support the basket/food that you can put in the fire and not have to hold/support a basket, Full of food, over a blazing fire. This basket is constructed of much more heavy wire and well plated, then any other similar products I have seen or usedYou won’t go wrong buying this

Did a couple T-bones - worked great
We covered it in foil before we used it but if we cooked directly on it I would probably use some nonstick spray. To prevent rattling in the car we put a couple pieces of packing material in between the racks and stand before we twist tied it together.

Great Product
We've been using this for 6 months or so. Nice and sturdy and the stand is fantastic for campfire grilling.
