Strange pillow but it works!
I thought I'd try this pillow out based on an ad I saw on Insta for a different (more expensive) brand. This one is great, it had a lot of filling and was very firm so I did take out two whole cups so it had more give. The smell was fragrant but it went away after a week. I wasn't having any specific neck pain but I do find that pillows are either too soft or too hard. This one, while firm, is deceptive because it also forms against your neck and head. It also is great for stomach sleepers because it doesn't raise my head too high at an angle like some poly pillows do. I also have noticed less turning in my sleep. I guess I was always trying to adjust my pillow. It has made a noticeable difference. It's unique, but worth a shot if you'd like to try.

Buy buy buy!
Best pillow ever and it's made very well. It may appear small but for this type of pillow it's a perfect size and great for side sleepers.

Underfilled and inpossible to fully fill
I have had multiple buckwheat hull-filled pillows over the years, but they've all been standard 20"x30" size pillows. About two years ago, I discovered cube pillows and have never looked back. I love how the right angle of the pillow edge fits perfectly in that area between my shoulder and the side of my head. Almost perfect, aside from the fact that every one I've encountered has been a foam pillow, which hold onto a lot of heat.Enter this pillow--buckwheat hull-filled AND a cube pillow?! I thought this might be my perfect pillow. Alas, I was very disappointed. What I Liked:- It's really attractive. The case is really nice-looking.What I Didn't Like:- The pillow arrived severely under-filled. It was less than two inches tall when I lay my head on it. That's not remotely close to being comfortable.- I figured I'd just add more buckwheat hulls, since I have a bag or two of hulls around from my full-sized buckwheat hull pillow days. Easy enough to remove and fill the interior bag. However, when I tried to insert the hull bag back into the pillowcase, I just couldn't do it. The opening in the pillowcase is just too small to reinsert the bag with the additional fill included. Note that the zipper does not run close to the entire length of the back of the pillowcase. As a result, I couldn't get the bag back in. And the small opening makes it impossible to partially remove the interior bag and fill it that way. I had to remove the additional buckwheat hulls, which put me back at square one with a floppy, flat pillow.NOTE: The product description doesn't include the height/thickness of the pillow, only the width and length. The end panels of this pillow are only 3", so this is a very, very thin pillow, even if you were to somehow be able to jam the bag back into the pillowcase after adding additional fill. This pillowcase is just too thin. If the zippered opening had been large enough to insert a properly-filled bag back into it, I would have given it a try. But the fact that I couldn't do that and was left with a thin, floppy pillow made this a non-starter.I hold out hope that somebody will make a 4" or 5" buckwheat hull cube pillow someday--one with a proper opening to allow easy adjustment of the fill volume. This one just isn't it.

It's alright
Not a bad pillow for the money, however it's all in a plastic type of case that's a little crunchy. If it were in acotton pillow case instead it would be five stars.

Small, but that's okay
I wish I'd gotten a buckwheat hull pillow sooner - it's been one of the only pillows I've been able to comfortably use when I have neck pain. It's small, but you don't need a big one. The crunchy noise was a bit odd the first night, but now I'm well used to it. I like that when you "fluff" the pillow, it stays in that position.

This buckwheat pillow has some GREAT reviews... I'm not sure why.
I'm not sure why the reviews are all so great. I'll tell you what I think:GOOD Stuff... The pillow seems to be well made and the color is bright.BAD Stuff... I've included two photos... 1) (kinda hard to see, using my crappy ruler) depicts a length (generous of about 16", not 17"). I can stand that, as something might be wrong in the Sellers extension of millimeters to inches; and 2) the pillow is only delivered about 2/3 full of Buckwheat, which translates to about 1/2 height, when you actually put your head on it.To fill it up enough for a side-sleeper to use it, you will need to purchase at least one (1) more pound of Buckwheat. Amazon sells Buckwheat, by the one pound, two pounds, and five-pound bags, that I know of... maybe others. The one-pound and two-pound bags are about $16 to $19 dollars, so a side-sleeper should plan to spend several more dollars, with this purchase. Do yourself a favor, by buying the extra Buckwheat with your order!!!BTW, I've bought other Buckwheat pillows, on Amazon, that included extra 1/2-pound bags of fill!
