After our 16-month-old Border Collie mix was diagnosed with diabetes, one of the hardest adjustments for us was no longer giving out dog treats. We had difficulty finding diabetes-safe treats that he wanted to eat. Ella's Treats solved that problem. Danny absolutely LOVES these biscuits! We love knowing that they will not negatively affect his blood glucose levels. The size of the biscuits is just right for him, and he really likes both varieties we've tried. They are quite crunchy, but our dog has no trouble happily munching them down. Plus, I think that crunchiness is good for his teeth. Give these a try -- you won't be disappointed!

My younger dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes. She is very treat oriented, so it’s been a struggle to find ways to keep her motivated without busting her “food rules.” Nice packaging; great concept on the treats. But couldn’t get my dog past the first bite. No go on these for us. Using dried, cut chicken jerky as an alternative.

I bought these for my dog and she likes them, but its a huge time waster that I have to break these up for her first. I tried soaking them in water for about an hour. They barely softened. Then I broke it in half and soaked for another 30 minutes. Not much improvement. Will not repurchase these.

I have a diabetic 7 pound Chihuahua. I bought these treats because the ingredients are wholesome. But, these treats are so hard that even after soaking for half an hour, I could not even cut them in half. The center remained hard. Then I tried soaking them overnight and still the center remained hard. I will not waste my money on these again. I don't want to give my pet a soggy treat.

The treats are expensive and my dog does not consider them food. He licks them and mouths them but he won't eat them. He is blind and deaf, all he has left is his sense of smell, taste and feel.I put them out for the deer to eat.

Too expensive for the amount in the package, in my opinion. Worse yet, my diabetic pug didn’t care for them, so it was a wasted purchase for me. I give 3 stars because the ingredients are good for a diabetic dog treat in general, however.

These are definitely a quality product but for some reason my dog isn't really over the moon for them. She will eventually eat them but they are not her favorite. I like that they are sugar free and I don't have to worry about them making her sick. Thank you!
