Build quality is amazing, however it needs a support bracket!!
This AC is great. The build quality is top notch and the motor inside is fairly quiet! The dual inverter does help a lot. I also own an LG washing machine with the same dual inverter tech. Cools my room in less than 20 minutes! I did have to purchase a support bracket for it because it is quite a heavy machine with a large bum. I would not recommend installing this without a support bracket. I still give it 5 stars because the unit itself is solid. Would recommend purchasing if you want a reliable, moderately quiet AC.

Great product
Just used it for first time. I was hoping it was quiet as advertised but I'm blown away by how Whisper quiet and quickly it cools. Highly recommend

Very efficient
Very efficient. Replaced several other brands in our home with these units. Lowered our energy bill. Very quiet.

So far so good!
So far so good. It takes about 30 seconds to fully start blowing and it's way quieter than my old LG AC. I'm looking forward to my electricity bill being lower. I think this be a very good purchase!

Things aren't made like they used to be
The media could not be loaded. Cheap and terrible engineering. "New" isn't always better. Seems like the newer things are, the cheaper they are made.First thing we hear when we turn it on to try it is some rubbing. It became obvious that the fan was rubbing on something, so we turned it off, took off the chassis, and turned it on again. The video attached shows that the fan is clearly rubbing against it and the fan + housing is cheap plastic. Between saving pennies and planned obsolescence, something that should last for years goes bad after 1-2 or struggles on day 1.The other thing I've seen with ordering AC units is that out of four that have been ordered, literally every one of them had some sort of damage before arriving, or in the case of this one, just didn't work right. If something can't perform the basic function that you bought it for to begin with, then it deserves the lowest score. Needless to say, we returned this.

Tech advancement
The functionality of this AC has worked well for me. It is easier on a shared 15 amp circuit due to its dual inverter which most other window units do not have. You generally need an outdoor split unit to get that. So you don't get that sudden power demand, it gently ramps up in speed. Air quality is no different than other window units, which I am not a fan of, but it was needed asap, so this was quick to install. Window units can suck in outside replacement air, and I live near a busy highway. Shuts off as it should. This unit has worked well with 70 days this year over 110°. So it was put to the test! It's just used for a large bedroom. When it's 116° in a block house without wall insulation, nothing is perfect on those days, but it pumped-out cold air continuously 24/7 all summer. Don't buy a non-insulated house built like an oven in the desert...

Thanks Amazon
Amazon deleted my old negative review. I have no clue why, I did not break a single guideline but I got an email saying my review broke guidelines, annoying but whatever. That being said, it's allowed me to come back and make a new review, and actually I had a slight change of heart. (Pls don't delete this review Jeff). Anyways, last time I gave this a 2 star, I was really upset because the installation is trash and NOT easy like it advertised. Blah blah blah, I'm not gonna go into detail like I did last time but basically they give you two thin L brackets to balance the unit on, it's an awful design, and not EASY. That being said, I installed it DIY style, put some brackets up, drilled some extra holes, once I got it up and turned it on, I could see why people like this thing. It runs...really well. It's not loud, it cools FAST, has great smart features, so I have it set to turn on only at night, thanks to the duel inverter it doesn't turn on suddenly, it stays on but will cool more or less to keep the temp steady, it's a nice window AC unit. If you can figure out a good way to install it, it's the best windoe ac unit I've ever owned.

The newest 2023 Inverter version
This replaces a much older LG 8000BTU that sounded like a hurricane. As most are saying, it’s much quieter than other A/Cs, and cools really well. The idea behind the Inverter version is that the compressor doesn’t cycle on/off. Instead it varies according to demand. Last night after installing, I put it on my Kill-a-Watt meter, and the wattage slowly ramped up to around 700-800 watts until the room cooled. During the night it stayed in the 500 watt range. Today it’s 111 degrees outside in Vegas and it’s drawing 1000-1100 watts with the temp set at 69 degrees. I expect the wattage to drop back to +500 watts tonight. My older LG drew 700-900 watts 24/7 regardless. I had to keep the unit’s temp set to 64 all the time to adequately cool the room.I should add that I’m running this on a Bluetti AC500 solar generator, solar panels by day and battery power at night. I have just enough battery juice to last until the sun rises and the solar panels take over. BTW, “free energy from the sun” is very expensive. It took many, many thousands of dollars for the equipment, and likely to take a few decades to break even, but at least I’m protected from blackouts from failed green energy lofty ideas that can barely power the Grid.
