Excellent family tent
This is the third time we have bought this tent in 15 years. Only swapped the first as there was an offer on for footprint and carpet. 2nd 1 we've had 12 years but zip went on front door. Best tent we've had in 25 years of camping

5 star tent, get the footprint and maybe a carpet
Happy enough. Bigger than what i thought it would be. Enough dpace for a family of 4 for 1 night, but feel any longer it may start feeling small.I also bought a vango footprint and carpet. Never saw the point of a footprint before, but noe i get it. The footprint keeps the ground sheet clean and dry. Somif you pack up in dry conditions and have aired the tent out, you dont need to dry the groundsheet off when you get home. Now for the carpet. Bought the official vango one. I was disappointed for the price. Yes it made the floor more 'homely' but because we were on a very sloght slope it just kept slipping all over. It really needs fixings on the inside so you can fasten it down. With regards to the tent, really happy for the price, and is very popular as was nearly sold out everywhere.Ultimate Outdoors, ordered it on friday, it was delivered on monday evening. Considering it said 7 days for delivery, i was really impressed 👌

Good Tent. Well designed light and airy.
Went camping with it last week. Lightweight, very light and airy in living compartment. The sleeping compartment is darker so if you don't like bright Summer mornings and want a lie in. Personally I would have preferred a lighter colour fabric. The zips can sometimes jam so be careful, don't yank them. This tent is much easier to erect than the previous version that had metal poles. This version has very light carbon fibre rods though we had some trouble sorting them out since the inner retaining bungee cords had slipped out completely on two rods sets. I have had to order new cord and will have to re-thread them. We only had very light rain so cannot comment on its waterproofness though it quoted as 4000 mm. As I understand this basically means waterproof unless it's a steady torrential down pour then it might leak a little. If very bad weather is expected either cancel the trip or use a tarpaulin as a fly sheet. Nice green colour and good large windows have optional privacy 'curtains'. The side entrance is large, and we used that for normal in and out instead of the front. The ground sheet rises up further than the previous version and at first we kept tripping up going in and out. This is an improvement to prevent flooding depending on ground conditions. There is a good space between the inner sleeping quarters compartment and the outer, so I am assuming less chance of condensation from touching surfaces. It is supposed to house 5 people but that would mean touching shoulders at night. I would say very comfortable for two adults, probably three. Ideal for Mum & Dad and a couple of small kids. Overall very pleased and I hope it lasts for 10 years like the previous one.2021 season Update. A tent pole split in half while erecting. Replacement poles on Amazon are only 13mm diameter instead of 14mm and they have the wrong ferrule.

Middle pole snapped on 1st check in garden
The tent was pitched in the garden to inspect it & the middle pole snapped. Can a new pole be dispatched please? Having a pole snap so easily is very poor. I used the previous incarnation of this tent for 9 years with no such problem. With 30 years of camping experience, including polar and high altitude, I know tent limitations. The pole snapped with worrying ease. The image shows the pitched tent with tape on the pole, so the rest of the tent could be inspected. The cracked pole in the other image with the remains of the tape marks in light grey. The rest of the tent looks good, within what you would expect for the money.I look forward to using it properly and writing a better review, in due course.
