ESV Reformation Study Bible, Condensed Edition, Light Brown Leather Bound – 23 Oct. 2017

Bought it as a gift for my daughter going off to uni after the summer. This condensed version is very portable and sturdy in its binding. It is nice and compact and practical. It can be made to be frequently used and carried to bible study groups! The notes and commentaries are comprehensive. I have not used it myself but I skim through those on some controversial passages. With R.C. Sproul behind it, you can be sure that it is sound in Reformed Theology, as suggested in the name of the item. My daughter loves it.

A wonderful ESV study Bible edited by the late R C Sproul. A real heavyweight in every sense of the word!

I brought the Reformation study bible condensed edition as a birthday gift for my eldest daughter, who is developing a appetite for Scripture but she is very happy with the study bible!

A valuable study bible for the earnest believer in the Word of God. Use it prayerfully,think about the opinions expressed in the notes and remember the notes and helps are mans interpretation,not God's Word.

Incredibly detailed commentary on every bible verse. Also included are great articles on key Christian doctrines, the reformation and also catechisms and creeds from the Nicene Creed to the Westminster Confession of Faith. Fantastic Resource.The bible came slightly bashed on its exterior cardboard sleeve. Some pages are irreversibly creased. But this does not effect my ability to read them. Lovely leather, but hard glue is visible on the bottom of the spine of the bible, where the pages have been sewn in. Not what I expected when I paid for a 'premium' product.Disappointed that it was printed in China, this may explain the flaws.

Just be aware that this is 8 point. I've sold mine on because I've bought the full size version, which is though a bit of a brick. It is what it is, a compromise on being a nice looking manageable size, whilst crammed with commentary.

Absolutely outstanding product. Contains all of R.C. Sproul’s notes throughout the years carrying over from his ever-popular New Geneva Study Bible. Editors list reads like a who’s-who of Reformed Ph.D’s contributing to all aspects of this Bible. Snippets of J.I. Packer’s Concise Theology scattered about. Seville cowhide leather is soft to the touch with moderate grain, paste down liner. 3 brown ribbons. Color is supposedly “burgundy” but it’s somewhere between maroon and brown. Inside text is serif font somewhere in the 9.5pt range, notes are probably in the 7pt range. Print is consistent, but only moderately dark. Paper is smooth and reasonably thick (30+ GSM if I was guessing) with minimal ghosting. Heavy enough for writing notes on. Not line-matched, but that’s almost impossible in a study Bible. This thing is BIG! 9.5”x6.9”x2.5” Well over 4 lbs. Not an ideal “carry” Bible.This is truly a gem of a study Bible. I’ve tried almost all of the ESV study bibles on the market. This one is so good I bought 2: one hardcover, one leather. Solid reformed evangelical positions. Historical creeds, catechisms, and Protestant church doctrine listed in the back as well. This Bible has rapidly become one of my prized possessions. Highly recommended.

This bible feels very nice and is good size. The next is a bit small and the pages are a tad see-thru but it doesn't change the fact that it is really nice. Notes are excellent.I did have to order this twice as the first Bible had a manufacturing error. As I order the premium leather it was to come with 2 reference ribbons and it had only one. Returned without issue and the replacement was proper. 2 ribbons is handy and was a selling point for myself.

BEAUTIFUL! I believe the Reformation Study bible is the best Study bible on the market. The notes, the Doctrinally explanations and the Craftsmanship is incredible.
