2 years & still mowing strong!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I read customer reviews & needed a push mower that was rated well enough & in my budget. It was easy to assemble & never had a problem with it yet. I live on a hill & wasn’t sure if my new mower could hold up because I am not easy on my equipment. This mower has taken everything I dished out! It had rolled down the hill (I was in the house) & flipped over in a ditch! I gave it a few minutes & it started with no problem. I don’t use the tiny bagger & I wired the output shute upward to avoid grass clogging the output. After 2 years of rough & tough mowing, it’s always started on the first pull of the cord. I don’t usually give reviews, but I am impressed by the punishment it’s taken & keeps on truckin’!

ZERO STARS
Beware…..Garbage!!!I bought this in late 2023 to put in stock for when my 20 year old lawn mower would finally be put to rest! I’ve repaired my 20 year old lawn mower periodically over the years! In Spring of 2023 I needed another part - found one last part on EBay … so I decided to buy this new mower and put it in stock so when the day would come and I wouldn’t be able to get parts anymore for my 20 yr old mower - I’d have this new yard force mower and not lose a beat! Well that day came last week (4/18/25)…. I opened the box - assembled the mower handle - added oil and gas- put on the bag grass catcher - started it up with great anticipation …went two lengths on the lawn with the mower and the stupid belt came off the rear drive … ugh - really! What a PAIN - most ridiculous design - you have to take the blade off and work from the underside to get it back on. In the future- when removing belt or working on mechanism - can you imagine the crap load of old crusty grass caked on everything! After I put the belt back on - I went two more lengths and it came off again- $@&$@Boy was I upset! Went through all the trouble to put the belt back on - did it again and again (4 times)…this mower design is a piece of ______ !In addition to that - the bag grass catcher is a lousy fit - while cutting - grass is blowing out all the edges like it leaks! I regret purchasing this mower! I’m 67, I’ve had 3 mowers in all my years - and they all were satisfactory- some even terrific…. But this yard force is TOTAL GARBAGE!The bummer is I bought it in late 2023 and just now in April 2025 am using it - so I’m presuming I’m stuck with it 😞☹️

Great reel for beginners
I suddenly reached the age where I care about how my lawn looks. It happened without warning or explanation. To my wife’s chagrin, I have recently spent many hundreds of dollars on lawn equipment, chemicals, and supplies. I also discovered the existence of reel mowers. After finding a manual reel at a thrift store, I’ve been on the hunt for a used gas powered reel. Having been unsuccessful thus far, I stumbled upon this Yard Force.Pros:- Price - I paid $150 for the mower with 2 batteries. Replacement batteries themselves are $50 from Home Depot, so the mower itself is basically $50.- Ease of Assembly - the mower came almost completely assembled. Only the handlebars had to be attached and the grass catcher assembled. All in all, assembly took less than 5 minutes.- 2 batteries - Reviews online seem to indicate this mower was previously sold as Sam’s and/or Costco with only one battery. This one comes with 2, and the batteries came essentially fully charged so I was able to mow right away- Maneuverability - I had no trouble maneuvering the unit around my yard. It’s reasonably lightweight and very easy to push, pull, and turn.- Manual mode - if the battery dies, the mower will still cut manually as the reel is connected by a planetary gear to the wheel. Very handy if the battery dies just before you’ve finished mowing.- Noise - The mower is extremely quiet. I was able to hear my AirPods over its noiseCons:- Replacement batteries - I assumed replacement batteries would be plentiful. My research thus far seems to indicate that the only place to purchase batteries is Home Depot for $50 each. It would be nice to have options, and it concerns me that the batteries could be discontinued at any time.- No stripes - The downside of the lower weight of the mower is that it isn’t heavy enough to lay down stripes. It may be possible to modify it for striping, but I have no yet explored that option.- Safety switch - In order to run the mower, one must depress a side safety switch immediately prior to pulling on a bail with the same hand. The positioning of the switch is awkward, and I often have to push the button twice to make sure it registers a press. I would prefer to bypass that switch.- Battery life - unfortunately it seems the only batteries available are 2.0ah, so they don’t last all that long.- Cut Quality - I noticed that The mower would occasionally miss single strands. I suspect that I just need to adjust the reel-to-bed knife, but it’s an issue nevertheless.- Small Grass catcher - I found myself Having to empty, the grass catcher quite frequently as it would fill up quickly.Overall, I am willing to live with the cons. In the coming weeks and months, I will assess the durability of the mower and update my review accordingly.

Nice machine worth the money
I was afraid my husband wouldn't like the mower he finds fault with most things but he absolutely loves it! He says every time he mows this is his favorite mower he has had. One pull and it starts off he goes. Putting it together consisted of putting on the handles and putting in the oil that came with it. Would buy it again but really don't think it be necessary. My only complaint is the warranty never came and I was told I could get it online which is great for the younger generations but not us. Anyway. Would buy again

Mower is perfect for typical yard maintenance.
Great buy.PROS:1.It is by far the easiest to start even on cold or wet days.2. Assembly took less than 30 minutes.3. Unit comes with separate first oil fill.CONS1. Engaging the self propelled feature causes the unit to lift itself. It is not like a clutch where you can ease into it.2. Fuel hungry.
