The Kohler canister yellow seal is optimal choice for replacing antiquated red seal
The original OEM red seal typically endures approximately ten years before succumbing to leaks, which lead to the holding tank repeatedly recycling and refilling with water. Several years ago, I purchased a yellow seal for another toilet, and it appears that the manufacturer has since enhanced the material quality, as claimed. Consequently, replacing the seal in the second bathroom with the newer yellow variant was an unequivocal and obvious choice.

No more leaky toilet
My Kohler toilet started to develop a slow leak from the tank to the bowl. About every 10 hours, the water level in the tank would lower causing the tank to "ghost" refill for about 3 seconds.I knew this was not only annoying, but was also wasting water. The culprit was a worn out cylinder gasket. There are several YouTube videos on DIY gasket change out which gave me the confidence to try it myself and avoid calling a plumber. I bought this gasket because it was an OEM part from Kohler.I'm happy to report the change out took only15 minutes to complete and the toilet leak issue is fully resolved.

Worked like a charm
I never thought this would work, but after watching a couple of YouTube videos, I gave it a shot before calling in a plumber ($$$$$). I'm an older person, so it took me a bit longer to fix, about 30 minutes. It solved the leak.

10 minute fix to stop a $25/day water leak
I could hear a slow leak and my water bill was shooting up. When I opened the Kohler toilet tank and saw the barrel in the middle I had no idea what to do with it. I saw the reviews for this part and how everyone said it was so easy to do. The instructions on the back of the packaging were spot on and I was able to replace the part in less than 5 minutes. A few more minutes to do some test flushes and I was good to go.

Just What I Needed
If you have a Kohler toilet that runs every now and then because of water leaking out of the tank, this will stop the leak and it is very easy to install.

Ease of installation . The seal fits right into the bottom of the canister. Fixed the leakage in the toilet. Satisfied :)
