The digital vernier caliper that I received is a genuine one and excellent in its performance. Need to check with the duration as my previous one lasted more than 5 years. Even I got a one year warranty card within the box from mitutoyo. Thank Amazon for the product and even now the package was not so good. As the product is so valuable, they just wrapped only in a tap. As I have mentioned before, the packing is not up to the mark still.

Get what you pay for
I've held off writing this review to make sure that I approved of the product. I looked at several different calipers and several price ranges, all with varying accuracies. These were definitely the most expensive that I looked at, but at the same time, they seemed to offer the best accuracy, which was highly important to me as I'm working on engineering projects with 1/10th millimeter specs.These are phenomenal calipers. They're extremely user friendly with the digital interface (everything is clearly marked and easy to figure out), they can be operated with one hand very easily, and they hold their zero point consistently.I've used these several times for hours in a row. Turn them on, set the zero point, use them for 5-8 hours, return it to the closed position, and it still zero's out perfectly every time. You can't ask for much more from a measuring tool than that.I highly recommend these, even though the price is a little higher than others. You definitely won't be disappointed.

ALREADY BROKEN!
It doesn't leave my desk, never has been dropped. But only a couple months old and it is junk.

Should be better.
Its ok. Should be better since its a Mitutoyo. I got a caliper that was not flat on the outside large jaws. It was tapered .001 thousands from top to bottom. Should have returned it right away.

Great product for the professional
I have wanted these in the past for work but were expensive. I took a new job and searched on Amazon and found these for about $170 bucks. They arrived quickly in a case. Was very satisfied with the product and price. Would recommend to anyone who needs a quality set of digital calipers.
