Stopped working after 2 weeks
My keyboard just stopped working on me, after only using it for about 2 weeks. Thankfully Amazon is issuing me a refund, because I'm don't trust this company to send me a working replacement. From the very start this keyboard was problematic. I couldn't figure out how to even turn it on and pair it correctly until I watched the instructional video listed in the (useless) instruction booklet that came with it. Turning it on was always a gamble, anyway, because it didn't always turn on the first time; sometimes I had to hold down the button for a few seconds, other times it would turn on directly. Last night it was working fine, and I let it go to sleep, but then I couldn't wake it to use it again. It wouldn't charge, it wouldn't respond at all.Aside from the trouble I had with this thing not working right, I also didn't like that the charge port was the older style so I had to keep that specific cord to use. The charging light did not turn green when it was charged, it only turned off. There was no way to know when the battery was low. There was no bluetooth indicator, and the power button was a weird lump, not an actual switch, and you couldn't tell if it was off or asleep. I hope the newer model that has a switch works better than this - but I'm not going to try and find out. I bought the Inateck board and so far I love it. Miles better for a few more dollars. At least the Amazon customer service agent went through trying to turn it on with me (which it didn't) and is giving me a full credit refund. I won't be buying from Tomsenn again.Edit: Oct 20, 2021 - I'm now getting emails from the company trying to bribe me to remove this review for $30. Not cool, super shady. Stay away from this company. Buy Inateck instead.

Finally a Surface Pro ketboard cover built to last.
This is my 3rd keyboard cover brand. the last 2 didnt, well, last! the keys wouldn't register and would break after light use. This Tomsenn keyboard felt different right out of the box. First off, it was the only time I got a surface keyboard actually packaged by the manufacturer to withstand shipping. The keys are sturdy, register with no ghosting and have a satisfying click to them. This is also my first LED lit keyboard and was worried it would effect its battery but knew I could turn it off if so, Ive kept the lights on my favorite color all night and didnt experience any less battery time than previous brands. The magnets all are strong and the lack of flex to the board are terrific. If i had any criticism, I would say the USB C connector could hold the connection a little more snug, but it does the job just fine and a non-issue.I picked Tomsenn because they are form Shenzhen. I have never been to Shenzhen but almost every electronic I own (my phone, my computer parts, my laptop, server replacement parts) thats lasted me years has been from that city. Tomsenn is no exception. Buying products form a company located in Shenzhen has never failed me yet and I wish I discovered Tomsenn sooner.

Purchased on a Lighning deal on a chance...
For the price I paid, I got what paid for. The unit fits on my Surface Pro 17 just fine (does not plug into the Surface, only magnetically snaps to the bottom, i.e., does not interface/charge via the Surface). It does fold over the Surface screen just as if it was genuine Microsoft product which was really cool and magnet grip is really, really strong - it won't fall off from the Surface. The lighted key are bright enough to be used in the dark, but the keys go off after 10-15 seconds of non-use. The only troubling thing is the charging port. It has to be the most strangest powering port in the world. Takes me quite an effort to get it to engage (magnetic hold in place and right in way of use making charging while in use a little difficult). So far, the thing has stayed charged for five eight-hour use days without running out of juice. Only other thing is when attached to the Surface it jacks up the keyboard as if it had fold out feet like you see on a normal keyboard. That is not an issue for me (I like a sloped keyboard), but it is so thin, it "oilcans" (i.e. bows with pressure) as opposed to laying flat on the desktop. A little annoying, but usable. Also, it starts up with the NUMLOCK always on which disables the letter keys, so you have to remember to turn off NUUMLOCK each time you start it up. SUPER ANNOYING! Not sure why it would default to that configuration?
