Zojirushi3 Cup Rice Cooker/Steamer ( White)

Amazing, multiuse, and easy to clean. I was worried the manual might be unclear on how to use it based on reviews, but the instructions are very detailed. It provides a step-by-step guide on how to prep and cook your rice, it even has a list of various vegetables it can steam, how long to steam for, as well as a rice pudding recipe!

We got tired of the newer rice cookers with all the useless buttons so we went back to the more traditional ones. One button and cooks on time and the rice comes out perfect. It is pricey but will last a long time and it is worth it for the price. We have two adults and 1 child in the household, so this works perfect for a small family of even four people. We cook rice every morning. The only thing you need to always remember, is to unplug it after the rice is done.

This replaced and older Zojirishi 10 cup rice cooker that I had for about 20 years. The older one was cracked from dropping and I never made more that 4 cups at a time. It finally died and would not power up. I decided to go smaller this time around, 6 cups, and as a bonus, it has a steamer tray! Also a bonus over my old 10 cup, it starts at 1 cup as the minimum to make whereas my old started at 2 cups. The first one I received was damaged; both the box and it’s contents were dented in multiple spots, which I attribute to both the poor protection of the original box and not having an outer shipping box (it was packed just in the original box). Amazon made it easy to return and get a replacement which was appreciated! Overall, I hope this lasts me another 20 years!

It cooked the rice perfect, and quick. here is my 4 start vs 5. The 1 cup measurement is 6oz not 8. Also there is no warming setting. so it's cooked and turns off, yet the temperature does hold for a couple of hours. Oh and when you push down on the on-button, make sure to not tip the cooker. : )

I bought this rice cooker back in October 2014. Now it finally doesn’t work anymore after 11 years of serving for twice per day. The quality is GOAT.

Definitely worth paying more for this small rice cooker compared to cheaper options and (no stick or burn) rice is cooked perfectly every time. It automatically turns off when ready and stays somewhat warm so you don't have to monitor. A spatula is included. I watched posted videos before using which were very helpful as instruction manual isn't all that clear.

Zojirushi is long standing brand bought it for home use. It works makes 3 cups of rice.
