Fabulous!
I use this product in my neti pot. I can't remember how long I've used a neti pot. Certainly over 2 decades. Probably more. I'm not really sure how I got into the "individual packets" mode. When I compare the 2. Individual packets versus this jar of neti sale it is double the price. A little jar of neti salt is how I began when I started using a neti pot. For those of you who haven't tried a neti pot, please hesitate no longer. It's wonderful & a very basic method of cleaning all the irritants out of your nasal passages. And PLEASE do not use table salt. It will burn like drain cleaner.

Once a skeptic, now an advocate!
I used to be terrified of using a neti pot. Like seriously. I'm the person who can't even go swimming underwater wihout holding my nose closed because I hate the feeling of getting any water up there. I was getting so irritated with my allergies, though, that I got desperate and decided to do some research on the neti pot. I finally caved and found a nice one on Amazon (where I basically shop for 90% of my things, lol). The problem was, I was using regular sea salt. I read that it was safe to use, but it seemed to sting a little. Then I found this neti pot salt and decided to give it a shot. It's definitely worth it. The jar will last you quite a while and has a handy scoop inside so you don't have to worry about measurements. My usual routine involves taking two cups of distilled water and microwaving it until it's about luke warm/comfortable on the skin. Then I add the neti salt. The scoop has two sides (the smaller for one portion of neti water and the larger for the two cup portion I make). Then once the salt is dissolved I pour one cup into my neti pot and use it on my first nostril. Then once it's used up I use the remaining one cup in the other nostril. Works like a dream and helps stop my sneezing! I also use it to help with migraine pain and sinus pressure. I'm the last person I would have thought would ever be using a neti pot, yet here I am!

Same salt as in the sample packs your Sinus doctor gave you without the packaging waste
At least ten years ago my doctor sent me to the specialist for chronically infected sinuses. My insurance must not pay well because he handed me a sample nose rinse kit and told me to use it everyday.I go though about 400 packets a year and feel guilty about the packaging waste. This little jar is the same salts in bulk and good for at least 200 days (they are a division of NeilMed). Before you open the jar if you flip it upside down and shake it hard the little scoop will be on top when you open the jar.You dissolve a scoop into 8 ounces of water that has been boiled and cooled (don't burn your nose but rinse is nicer at body temperature). The boiling sterilizes and kills creatures in your tap water that can eat your brain. The big scoop is marked hypertonic. I use this most days. It cuts mucus, washed out clots, and shrinks the stuffy swelling. It might sting a bit.The small scoop is isotonic. This saline solution is the same concentration found in your cells. The little scoop is great for dry sinus in the desert and washing dust out when you forget your mask.I still use the packets when traveling or camping. There I use bottled water from a trusted brand.Value--Doctor visits are not cheap and this jar is about half the costs of the daily packets.

Better than Neti brand.
A much better product and money value than the “Neti” brand packets.I would buy again except someone gifted my a giant bag of the other brand and free is free. Once I’m out, I’ll be ordering this again.

Himalayan Institute Neti Pot Salt Jar 12 oz
I was a little skeptical, after all, I thought, salt is salt. But this salt was finely ground, so it dissolved very easily in the neti pot. The sensation was very mild in the procedure. I thought I would try a little special care since my first test with kosher salt was a bit stinging, so I waited for my delivery. This Himalayan Institute Neti salt was reasonably priced, and sounded so exotic. There is absolutely no odor, no iodine, fillers or anticlumping agents, and the salt is white. The neti pot is new to me. This salt feels good in the solution, and my nose symptoms (dry, clogged, and yet runny) were eased, which helped me sleep better.

Useful
I was buying this on eBay. Amazon was a better deal with my free Prime shipping.
