In fact, I would prioritize this machine over a pressure cooker if you want less mental work when cooking or have concerns about bacteria growth and nutrient loss in raw meat before cooking. With this, I don’t have to "plan ahead" and marinate the meat for hours or overnight, yet I still get very well-flavored food.I was curious and tested the air vacuuming with some marshmallows. It sucks out a lot of air from the drum container, enough to make the marshmallows puff up a little and look bigger. Apparently, it works just as well on making my beef slices for jerky and chicken wings very flavorful within 15-20 minutes, the same result as marinating overnight. Even without the vacuum technology, the rotating action is very helpful in ensuring the meat is well mixed with the seasonings.To create a good marinade, I used to have to mix the meat thoroughly with seasonings in a big bowl, then struggle to transfer it into a vacuum bag and vacuum the air out with a bag vacuum machine. The juices kept getting into the vacuum sealer, and I had to be careful not to overdo it. Even then, the seasoning or sauce wasn’t guaranteed to coat the meat evenly, and I ended up with more things to wash and clean.With this machine, I only have to throw the meat into the container, add the seasonings in either powder or liquid form, vacuum the air, and let the machine do all the mixing. The vacuum technique works amazingly well to make the meat flavorful in a short time. My meat can still be cold after being marinated, which gives me a really good feeling about food safety.I’m usually lazy about giving reviews, but this is such a good product that I want to encourage people to get one. I even sent one as a gift to my mentor. After learning that his machine didn’t have the light hissing sound mine does, I wrote to customer service five months after purchasing to ask about it. I wasn’t expecting much, just checking if it was designed that way or if I had a slightly defective lid. To my surprise, they responded within minutes and sent me a new lid to ensure it was working properly. I was blown away by their service, and it motivated me to write this review to share my experience with both the product and their excellent customer service.With Christmas coming, I believe this item would make a unique, great, and reliable gift for yourself or someone special.

This works perfectly. I have had it for over a year and it is great. I use it to make jerky and it speeds up the process. I run 5lbs at a time and it takes 15 minutes. I no longer have to wait overnight to start smoking the meat. There is one drawback, I did have to replace the lid because the valve would no longer seal. It kept losing the vacuum. Thankfully the parts were easy to obtain but a little pricey but worth it

I no longer have to plan ahead with meals. No more ziplock bags in the fridge for a day! This is awesome and works very well. The flavor result is crazy. I was not expecting this appliance to boost the prep and flavor game of meals the way it does.I typically will meal prep lunches every week.I pull this out, add my chicken and marinade, and it's ready to be cooked within 20 minutes. The canister is a sturdy plastic with a secured lid. I have had this product for a year now and it doesnt leak.Prepping and use is simple. Two buttons is all it takes.It is very easy to clean and has minimal mess. While it's not a home necessity, it really does make life easy. Especially with kids and all, not having to worry about extra hours, etc to marinade is a game changer!Beyond happy with the purchase!

Definitely does a good job of speeding up marination, but the act of the meats rolling around and around in there make sure that the marinade coats everything absolutely perfectly.UPDATE #1: I returned the unit because it was leaking air. The seller was good about sending a replacement. But now the second lid is leaking air. I would like to say that I used each lid two or three times before both of them started leaking. Keep in mind, that without a vacuum inside the chamber, the lid will fall off and anything inside will spill out, so you can't even use it as a rolling barrel without the vacuum, making it useless.UPDATE #2:The company has been very good about sending me replacements. They promptly sent me another lid and it seems to be working fine now. I think the first unit I got was used, and the second one I got just had a defective lid. The point is, they stand behind their product.

Poor quality died on me 3rd use. It won’t “tumble more than 2lb of meat, I can get 2.5 if 8 lean it forward. But build quality is awful and three times the seal came off and drenched the counter and machine with some of the marinade I was using. Don’t waste your money on this one. Other reviews reported similar issues, but I gave it a gamble and lost.

As a jerky producer this has greatly upped my jerky game and is a must have for any jerky lover

The media could not be loaded. This vacuum tumbler works great! This is something I didn’t know I needed, but now can’t imagine being without it! This tumbler has significantly cut marinating time for jerky and grill meats from 12-24 hours to 30 minutes! The instructions are very clear and simple. It is so quiet and does not take up a lot of counter space. It did come with the gripping bands that others have mentioned as an issue for rotating. For those with older models, you can order these on their website for $8. It also came with a very good quality tenderizer tool. I am beyond impressed with this product and highly recommend!
