Works like a pro in the kitchen
This mandolin fulfills my needs in the kitchen. I have a much larger, stand alone with interchangeable blades. But, when you’re slicing a lemon or onion, you don’t want to drag out the big guns. This genius tool is readily accessible and performs very well. I seem to use it on a daily basis. In the past, I would just slice with a knife instead of using my other mandolin. I love how everything is uniformly cut and clean up is a snap. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys cooking. If you don’t enjoy cooking, this makes the task less stressful.

One of my favorite kitchen gadgets!
One of my favorite kitchen gadgets. So much that I purchased one for our camper and one for our vacation home. Super handy for slicing. It's adjustable so you can slice your desired thickness, a great design feature! There's a safety feature to prevent accidental cuts. Easy to wash, I just rinse under the tap and scrub with a dish brush. Fits well in the drawer and the cover attaches to cover the blade. I use rubber bands to secure the cover just to be sure.

I love this small flat mandolin—buy it!
Love it. Easy to use and clean. Rinse right way. Great size to store and travel with. Use for my vegetables daily. Soft and hard but mist if my veggies are not very hard. Fruits like apples or pears can work. Oranges and grapefruits I would not use. Jalapeño can work but not short ones as blade is sharp. Potatoes are usually very hard and don’t want to dull blade so I don’t use it. Can however. I have a manual tool that makes curly ridges and can slices. Like French fries. Jalapeño use longer ones and not short ones as blade is sharp.

Beautiful, paper-thin potato slices!
Today, I tried the product after it was delivered. It sliced the potatoes paper-thin and perfectly. I added some oil, salt, and cheese on top and baked them — they were ready in no time. It’s definitely an amazing product, and I highly recommend it. The only thing is, I didn’t find the food holder attachment very easy to use. Other than that, I absolutely loved it.

Doesn't cut thick enough for me. See Edit too.
For the price, this is a nice mandoline; however, I had hoped the thickest setting would be thicker. Number 3 position measures 4 millimeters (a 1/4 inch is about 6.5 mm). The thinnest is a sliver, which would be great for making potato chips or for dehydration.Edit: This worked fine for slicing potatoes, but didn't work when trying to slice an apple on #2 thickness (uneven slices at best). I think the problem was that I didn't core the apple first, and the blade couldn't easily cut through the tough center. The guard tore up the top of the apple.
