Prompt delivery. The construction is robust and it is easy to assemble (the diagram in the instructions is small and not particularly clear but it's not exactly a complicated item!). Once fitted to the ladder, the hooks worked fine when I used them on the roof.

Others mentioning that the U-bolt doesn't fir the holes in the brackets - the instructions are wrong. You don't use a bracket for the initial bolts (on the second rung) - just put the bolts through the square bar and washer/nut them on. Use the brackets for the first rung U-bolts.So anyway - the instructions are misleading, and it requires a bit of brainpower to see where you're going wrong. Easy to do once you figure it out.Bolts are a bit long - you'd think they could have been machines to the correct length so there's not a big bit sticking out, and who the hell uses 11mm nuts!?Otherwise, does the job if you only need it occasionally.

Easy enough to fit. Seems robust and inspires confidence in use. Much cheaper than buying a complete roof ladder as long as you've got a spare ladder to fit it to - in fact about the same as hiring one for a week. A note on extension ladders and physics: you can only use it with a single section of most ladders, unless you have a means of stopping the lower sections from dropping off.

I would have preferred better wheels - preferably wider - something easier to get to ride over tile joins/overlaps, other than that, seems pretty good for the price. Should fit any ladder known to mankind due to generously-sized U bolts.NOTE - the plates are to join two U bolts, they do not and are not meant to fit one bolt each. It is explained in the instructions.......

An extremely useful and sturdy piece of kit which I will be using regularly at home and elsewhere.I also greatly appreciate the quick response of the seller to send me replacement parts for the ones lost in transit. I'm only part way though attaching this to my ladder. The instructions are rubbish and how it goes together is not intuitive. It looks like these bars are to go across the hoop, but clearly they are not. From the instructions I can only guess at how they should fit. Also the nuts are those with an internal ring to stop them coming undone and so they cannot be done up with your fingers. As a result they take forever to run all the way up the thread. You really need a long reach 10mm socket and ratchet set, which I don't have!UPDATEYou actually need an 11mm socket - who on earth uses that size?! I used a long reach socket and powered it from my impact driver, and the socket was still not long enough, but would have taken forever without it. Those U brackets are too long too, no matter what ladder you use, they will not be that big so they are another hazard to your skin unless you cut them down.The photos should help with assembly. Once built and excess cut off, it works fine. A little more care and it would be a much better product.
