This was sold as a renewed item, but shipped in the original box and works just like new. Sound quality is extremely good.

It was working fine then just stopped. Tried a reset and it would work for a few seconds then die again. None of the features such as the individual speaker volume adjustment function so my guess its bricked.Edited 12/14/24I moved the unit to an older Samsung TV and it works fine. I checked the LG TV and found they updated the sound software. That"s when the sound bar stopped working. Pretty sad state of affairs when a software update is not compatible with their own brand of sound bars.

Purchased this as renewed at an excellent price. Came in great condition and works like new.

the soundbar was listed as new/open box, but when i received it, there were scratches everywhere. there was clear signs of use on the soundbar, subwoofer, and especially the remote. beyond that, this suondbar sounded worse than a cheap vizio soundbar i got 4yrs ago. that's very surprising to me. we're talking about a cheap $150 vizio soundbar, with satellite speakers that i no longer even use anymore, sounds better than this LG dolby atmos soundbar that costs at least twice as much. I returned it immediately.

I purchased this sound bar because I wanted to upgrade to Dolby Atmos & I have limited space.I think it sounds great most of the time. (I'll explain in a bit) It is a big improvement from my old stereo soundbar.I think it is exceptionally good at highlighting vocals and they are continually easy to hear. The wireless subwoofer is also well balanced & super easy to set up. It's always there but never shaking the floor.There are a couple things that are a bit of a problem however.First is that even though it does decode Dolby Atmos, It does not have ALL the speaker channels for Dolby Atmos. It is technically only a 3.1.1 system where a true Atmos system would be 7.1. As a result, some Atmos programs and music where sounds were mixed to those channels just disappear.This is really apparent when listening to a Dolby Atmos mix like The Who's Baba O'Reilly. The synthesizer at the beginning bounces from left to right & then just cuts out because the sound goes to a speaker channel that does not exist.The second issue is the app. It is very basic but I can live with that. The biggest issue is that it is bluetooth only. This means that you will have to manually connect to the soundbar EVERY time you want to control the soundbar with the app. (which is all the time)As soon as it pairs, it switches to bluetooth sound, which sounds awful & disregards the settings you were using before. You will need to reset the sound profile to make it sound good again.Since I don't change the setting very often, I can live with the bluetooth issue & I was also able to remix music issues channels using Audacity, I can live with the inconveniences, especially given the price for a refurbished unit in excellent condition was VERY reasonable.Once you work through the issues, this soundbar sounds great for video & pretty good for music once you get it set up.You could get a sound system with all the Atmos speaker channels if you want the full experience, but not for this price.

Easy set-up. Sounds great. Not sure it’s actually a surround sound effect though.
