Very impressed with this replacement
I’ve been buying AO Smith Century replacement 2 1/2hp motors and none of the 3 I’ve bought has lasted over 15 months, pretty pathetic when reviews say a pool pump motor should last 10-12 years so this time around I bought this motor which also included the impeller, housing and everything needed to replace the whole recirculating system to the filter system. It was so easy to replace the old system by cutting 2 supply pvc pipes and gluing on the new twist connectors. Hook up the electrical supply and bang! It runs sooo smoothly and three times quieter and as an extra bonus it has a dual power switch to run at a slower speed to save on electricity charges. The 3 rd huge bonus is the entire replacement system was 1/2 the price as just the motors I have been buying

Quiet, good price and works great so far
Installed 2.5 HP version of the pump as a replacement of my dead 17 years old 2HP STA_RITE DyNA-GLAS pump. Install wasn't too bad, needed to re-pipe some. Wiring Picture in included installation Manual was a little confusing at first (figured it out right after emailing BRIOPAWS, however, they responded promptly with a better diagram (they should replace wiring diagram with a better one). It's been running for 10 days now, so far, its quiet and works great, Polaris Cleaner, Salt Chlorine Generator and SPA Jets work fine as well, even at low speed. I like it for its quietness and price, can't beat it. Let see how long will it last...

Updated Review
Spent a day installing the pump. Hooked everything up perfectly and turned it on, only to see water squirting out of the sides of it.Update: Briopaws reached out to me and suggested that I go around the housing tightening all the bolts. I did this and found 2 bolts that weren't as tight as the should be. After tightening them, I turned the pump on and the leaks were gone. The pump has great power. My old 1 HP pump had trouble priming, but not this one. Moving lots of water. It's a bit louder than my old pump but it's twice the power and water flow.Briopaws has written me several times and I'm impressed with their customer service.

Moves water well. Fairly quiet
Was able to replace a Hayward 3/4 hp Superpump with no plumbing alterations. As with another very helpful review., the only downside so far was the electrical hook up. The connections are hard to get to. I managed to "steal" some wires with connectors on the ends from an old Hayward and soldered those to the unit's wires (wire nuts might have been better). I was just able to push these connectors on the lugs of the unit. The pump is fairly quiet and it does move more water that 3/4 hp unit that I've managed to replace.. Now, my hope is that it will be durable. If it lasts a good while, it would get an extra star for value.

Performance
I've installed this pump, and it runs flawless. Very quiet and primes quickly. The only difficulty I had was how to connect the wiring. The diagram in the manual is not clear. Its's not clear where the second "Hot wire" goes. The diagram shows 5 prongs on the switch, while there are only three. The word "switch" must be printed there to show where the second wire goes.
