Great idea, not so great color.
For me, this Cordless Mini Flat Iron works better as a curling iron than it does a flat iron. The first time that I used it, on a long strand of hair near the front of my face, I got a soft long curl! I kid you not I hopped up and down with glee.I'm not an expert at flat ironing my hair, I hate doing it and I avoid it as much as I can. I meant to flat iron that long strand of hair near the front of my face and instead of a strand of long smooth hair I got a long soft curl. Even though a long soft curl wasn't the result that I was aiming for I thought that it looked great. And it was so easy to do!Even though I hate flat ironing my hair and I avoid it as much as I can, I still need to do it from time to time. Since I don't have a lot of practice using a flat iron I'm all thumbs with them. That's how I accidentally got that curl the first time that I used this mini hair straightener, I was holding it at the wrong angle.Because I am all thumbs when it comes to using a flat iron, I am always on the look out for a hair straightener for dummies. I need a flat iron that does all of the work and all of the thinking for me. Such a thing has probably not been invented yet. I can say for sure that using this mini hair straightener requires some skills with flat ironing that I lack.I love the idea of this cordless flat iron. I also love that this flat iron has a base that acts both as a charger and a stand for storage. All of my other flat irons are lying on their sides, taking up space and collecting dust. I wish that they had stands like this one.Two things that I don't love about this cordless mini flat iron are that, for one, you must dampen your hair before you straighten it, and, for two, the color.I am not good at dampening my hair slightly, I tend to get it wet instead so this step is difficult for me. I do apply heat protectant but I'm not sure that is sufficient dampness. I did see steam rising from a couple of strands that I straightened. I have heard that that is bad. I found a couple of hairs stuck inside the flat iron afterward. Maybe I caused that by getting my hair too wet?The color chosen for this mini flat iron is a bit unfortunate. It's a fine color on it's own but when applied to this mini flat iron it looks like some skin colors. This causes the flat iron to look like a male appendage that is normally never seen in public. This may be offensive to some. I don't travel but if I did I would think twice before bringing this mini flat iron with me inside my luggage. One of my adult daughters who has more experience with flat irons tried this flat iron out for me. She rated it four stars, as will I.

Doesn't get hot enough to fully straighten hair
I was truly anticipating this straightener to work as well as my plug in one does, but sadly, it does not. I have to go over the same strand of hair more than once for it to actually make a difference. It happens even when it's fully charged, so that isn't the problem. My guess is that without a strong and consistent source of power surging through it, that it doesn't have the capability to maintain enough heat to keep the plates hot. I suppose it would work for touch-ups or for thinner and less curly hair types, but not for someone with thick and curly hair such as myself. It takes me about 30-40 ish minutes to fully straighten my shoulder length hair with it, and that's on the highest heat setting. I can get it done in about 10 minutes with my usual plug in straightener. For the time it takes me to straighten my hair with this straightener, I'd be better off just using the plug in one. Another thing I dislike is that it doesn't provide any type of negative ions. It leaves my hair looking frizzy and staticky after I've used it. It's a bit frustrating. However, on a good note, the design and appearance of the straightener is beautiful. I love the soft pink color with the rose gold accents. It doesn't seem to pull my hair when straightening, which is a plus. It features a small LED screen for viewing the temp and battery life. The charging dock is a step up from just using a charging cable. The straightener itself is small, compact, and lightweight, making it perfect for on the go use. While those things are good, it still doesn't compensate for the lack of efficiency.

Works great!
This is a really nice travel straightener. I’ve tried so many other types of these and this is this best one I’ve tried. It holds charge for a long time. It’s heats up fast. My hair is long and fine and it does not snag it at all.

Hair straightener
I like this hair straightener, it does the job very well but, on the description, it stated that it curled hair too which it does not, it gives a flip to the ends of the hair if you want but curl it, it does not do that. Outside of that minor thing this hair straightener is super for traveling, it is compact enough and supe light as well. It does get pretty hot, so it straightens nicely

Don’t buy!!
Love the idea, but not the product. The battery life sucked. I have more hair than most, but still thought the battery would last the whole time while I was curling my hair after charging it to full battery. Would not recommend unless it’s for a light touch up

Only good for touch ups
It's always nice to have cordless styling tools so you can use them on the go when you need them the most. However, if you're somewhere with an electrical plugin and need to do full styling, don't waste your time with this. There are 3 temperature settings: 330, 365, and 400 degrees fahrenheit. There's no way it gets anywhere close to 400 degrees, which is what I need for my thicker hair. The mix of this not getting hot enough and having a small plate made it frustrating to use as a main tool, hence why I would recommend for on the go but not when you have the option for an electrical plugin. This is a battery indicator (low, medium, full) and the on/off button needs to be held down to turn on. Temperature is changed by using the (+) and (-) buttons. The plates lock closed with a slider button on the back, and an extra safety feature includes an "airplane mode" button that also slides. While the straightener is in airplane mode, it won't power on.Overall quality doesn't excite me. I haven't owned this terribly long, but it's already showing signs of wear. Charging is incredibly easy, though, and I like that I can use the charging base to hold the straightener in an upright position as it cools down.
