Simple, inexpensive tool that perfectly does the job
Does what is needed. Nothing heavy duty or fancy required here; this plastic tool does the trick just fine.

Excellent Hollowtech II Crank Arm Tool
Was attempting my first try at replacing my old Claris 2400 Triple Crankset on a Octolink/Square to the newer Sora R3000 Triple Hollowtech Crankset. The Shimano Crank tool worked easily to install the "dust cap" on the non-drive crank arm. Just make sure to follow the given Shimano Crankset Installation manual. Do not over torque/tighten!

Does the job!
Not much to say other than can't beat the price and it does the job - makes taking a shimano crank on and off a piece of cake - used it for packing my bike in a travel bag to Europe - simpler than removing the chainrings.

Just what I needed to perform crankset maintenance
Since this is a Shimano tool, it fits perfect! You will need this to remove and install the left side crank!

Shimano, you should've designed the cap for hex wrench!
I recently switched my crankset to hollowtech II. I had no idea I needed this little doodad to tighten the cap. Delayed my build for four days (would've been two days but the Great California Snowstorm of 2023 caused a delay in shipping). When the doodad arrived, I took it out of the package, tightened the cap, and was done with the tool. $5 for 15 seconds of use. Why couldn't Shimano have gone with a hex wrench? I'll never understand.

Good value
Does what it should do. Had to use some pliers to hold it from slipping, but was able to accomplish goal of removing crank arm.

Inexpensive solution that just works
The title says it all. You don't need a metal tool or anything more expensive than this. Worked great!
